About CCVR The Entrance
Central Coast Virtual Reality, known as CCVR, runs a purpose-designed VR studio on The Entrance Road at The Entrance, with a second studio at Erina Fair. Each play space has a ceiling-mounted cable system so players can move freely without tripping over leads, and the library runs to more than 100 experiences: shooters and zombie games, rhythm games such as Beat Saber, sports simulators, roller coasters, multiplayer escape adventures, and gentler travel, design and art titles that suit younger players and first-timers. Time is bought per play space, with 15 minutes costing $25, half an hour $35 and a full hour $55, and it can be shared between people and experiences, while multiplayer games need more than one space. VR is recommended for children 8 and over. Kids' parties take up to 20 children aged 7 and up, with each space costing $50 an hour and holding up to two kids, and families bring their own food and drinks to a table the studio sets up for grazing. For adults, CCVR runs corporate sessions built around multiplayer experiences, or more structured team sessions with in-house psychologists and social workers. The Entrance studio also hires out as a multi-use venue for functions, meetings and celebrations, with bathroom and kitchen facilities, nine TVs, projector options, sound and seating for 50. All staff hold working with children checks and have experience with people of all ages and abilities. The studio opens on weekends from 10am to 6pm and seven days during school holidays.
