About The Paintball Place Kulnura
The Paintball Place, known as PPK, has been running paintball at Kulnura for more than 30 years, opening soon after the sport was legalised in NSW. The property mixes natural bush fields, where players duck between trees and scrub, with purpose-built zones full of barrels, pipes and barricades, so tactics change from one game to the next. Sessions run in the morning or the afternoon and take around two to three and a half hours, working through scenarios such as Capture the Flag and Elimination. Pricing is based on how many paintballs you want, with packages at $55, $80, $100, $140 and $170. Each one includes a full-face mask with neck guard, overalls and a marker, and extra paintballs can be bought on the day; most players get through somewhere between 800 and 1,000 over a session. The organiser pays a $50 deposit per player when booking, which comes off each package on the day, and deposits are due two weeks before the game. There is no minimum group size, as smaller groups join others on the day and everyone is split into even teams rather than playing group against group. Groups of 20 or more can book a dedicated session with their own referee. NSW law sets the minimum age at 12, every player needs valid photo ID, and nobody can play affected by alcohol or drugs. Wear old, comfortable clothes in layers and enclosed shoes or boots with good grip, and bring water and a change of clothes for afterwards.

Paintball experience was fun, guns were okay, jammed a lot. Games were less enjoyable when “professional paintball” staff joined the games and were constantly trying to show off for literally no reason 💀
