About Roundabout Circus
Roundabout Circus is a community circus, run as a social enterprise, based on Showground Road in Gosford, where it runs classes, school programs and holiday camps. Alongside the teaching, its performers are booked out for events: corporate functions, birthday parties, community festivals and team days. The entertainment comes in two forms. Roving performers move among the guests on stilts and unicycles, spin hoops, juggle and work with LED props, which suits an outdoor festival or a cocktail-style function where people are mingling. Ground acts give guests something to gather around, with acrobats and acro-balancers performing either one short act or several spots across the event. Performances can be dressed to match the theme of the day, and the team is used to audiences of every age. For workplaces there is a hands-on option too. Team-building workshops are designed around the group and use circus skills to get colleagues communicating, laughing and backing each other up, with extra sessions in partner balancing, stilt walking, unicycling and fire spinning for groups that want a stretch. Every booking starts with an enquiry about the event, the audience and the format, and the act is put together from there.
