About The Terrace @ Woollahra Hotel
The Woollahra Hotel is a 1930s art deco corner pub on Queen Street, within walking distance of Paddington and Oxford Street, and around 15 to 20 minutes on foot from the SCG and Allianz Stadium. Downstairs is the casual Front Bar and the French restaurant Bistro Moncur; the function spaces are all on the upper floor. The Terrace is the biggest of them. A tall living green wall runs along one side and the sunroof retracts, so on a clear night the space is effectively open-air. It fits 120 for a cocktail party or 80 seated, and the neighbouring Cocktail Bar at its eastern end can be roped off for smaller groups. For a bigger event the whole upper level, about 400 square metres with three bars, several screens and a sound system, holds 300. Guests at a hosted event can move between floors during the night. The kitchen serves modern Asian food. Canapés are charged per piece with a 20-item minimum, a banquet for groups of 12 or more is $70 per person, the luxe banquet is $90, and set menus are $70 for two courses or $90 for three. Beverage packages come in Good, Better and Best tiers, or you can run a consumption tab, a pre-paid tab or a cash bar. A minimum food and drink spend applies whenever an area is allocated to you, and a 25% deposit of that spend secures the date. With exclusive use of The Terrace you can play your own music.
