About barmilano Maroubra Beach
barmilano is a Northern Italian restaurant and bar at 198-202 Marine Parade, facing Maroubra Beach about 11 kilometres south of the city. Owners Patrick Agostinelli and Georgette Unger built the menu around the alpine cooking of the Valtellina Valley, served as plates to share with handmade pasta, seafood and pizza. There is free parking around the beach and a bus stop close by. The restaurant is divided into spaces that can be booked separately or joined. The Front Promenade sits right opposite the beach with open ocean views and seats 30. The Aperitivo Bar, with its green tiled counter, takes 16 seated or 30 for cocktails. The Dining Room, the heart of the place, seats 70 or holds 100 standing. The Garden Terrace flows into the Sun Deck, an alfresco area for 70 seated or 140 for drinks and canapés. Exclusive hire of the whole restaurant brings all five together for 180 seated or 250 cocktail. There is full wheelchair access and an accessible bathroom. Food packages start with the Mortirolo grazing table at $55 per person, suggested for 60 or more guests. Seated share menus run from Classico at $75 to Valtellinese at $140, and roaming canapé packages cost $75, $90 or $110. The house beverage package is $65 per person for two hours up to $125 for five, or you can set a bar tab. For exclusive events the team books DJs and live musicians.
