About Belle Laide Events
Belle Laide Events, usually shortened to BLE, is an independent event agency working from a studio on Salisbury Road in Camperdown. It opened in 2006 and has spent close to twenty years designing and producing corporate events, collecting a long list of industry awards along the way, including Event Management Company of the Year at the Australian Event Awards. The team mixes producers, designers, technicians, artists and culinary people, and the agency works end to end: it shapes the idea, then builds and runs it. The work spans gala dinners, charity events, product and media launches, award ceremonies, brand activations, creative summits and conferences, client incentives, executive retreats and private events. Past projects include the Allens 200th anniversary gala for 660 guests at Carriageworks, the Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation Lunar New Year gala at the InterContinental Sydney, which raised $2.15 million, the Audi Dealer of the Year awards, launches for Panasonic and ASUS, and the glowing Blacklight Dessert Lab at Darling Square during Vivid Sydney. Clients can take the full service or individual parts of it: creative direction, production design, set build, styling, food and beverage design, talent and entertainment, technical direction, motion graphics, print, and travel and accommodation management. BLE suits organisations planning a large or high-profile event where the design matters as much as the logistics, such as a firm's milestone anniversary, a fundraising gala or a launch aimed at media and retail buyers. No prices are published, so every job starts with a brief and a proposal. The studio is staffed on weekdays from 8.30am to 5pm and takes calls on (02) 9699 1717.

What does BLE actually handle on an event?
As much as you want it to. The studio covers strategy and creative direction, 3D visualisations of the space, set build and styling, menus and drinks, booking talent, audio, lighting and show control, printed material, and flights, transfers and hotel rooms for guests, VIPs and crew. Clients can also bring BLE in for only part of the job.
How big are the events BLE produces?
Case studies range from an ANZ dinner for 40 guests built around the micro-sculptor Willard Wigan to the Allens gala for 660 at Carriageworks, and the Vivid Sydney Blacklight installation drew more than 16,000 visitors across the festival.
How much does BLE charge?
BLE doesn't publish prices. Its contact form has an option to request a proposal or quote, and the cost depends on the scale of the event, the amount of design and build work, and the suppliers involved.
How much notice does BLE need?
More is better for a design-led event, but it can move quickly: the ASUS Zenbook Pro launch, a full custom build inside The Venue in Sydney for 300 guests, was produced on five weeks' notice.
Does BLE only work in Sydney?
The studio is in Camperdown and much of its work is in Sydney, but BLE has produced events in Melbourne and on Daydream Island in the Whitsundays, and it lists projects in New Zealand, Singapore and the United States too.
