About Wonderland Jumping Castles

Wonderland Jumping Castles is a family business run by Todd and Amanda from a warehouse in Toongabbie. Most of their parties are in Western Sydney, the Hills District, the Hawkesbury and the North Shore, from Penrith, Blacktown and Parramatta to Castle Hill, Hornsby, Chatswood and North Sydney, and they will quote for other suburbs on request. Delivery and setup are free within 10km of the warehouse. The range is sorted by size. The smallest are 3m toddler castles such as the Rainbow and Under the Sea, fully open at the front so parents can see in, with character poles inside, at $190 for a full day. Small themed castles around 4m to 5m, including jungle, clown, rainbow cloud and Thomas designs, are $290. Medium castle-and-slide combos, about 5m long with an internal or external slide, are $330 and come in a long list of themes, with many made in both pink and blue. Large combos such as the pirate ship, Frozen and unicorn double slide are $350 to $370, and the giant 6m castle-and-slides are $395. For older children there is a Twister castle, a giant super slide with two lanes and a pair of obstacle courses at $430 and $450. Booking is relaxed: a deposit is welcome but not required, payment is cash on the day or bank transfer, and there is no cancellation fee. If rain is forecast they will call to talk through options, and you are not charged if the castle is not delivered. Setup and pack-down take about 15 minutes each and happen outside your booked time, with backyard castles set up in the two hours before the party starts. Castles are only run in daylight, and the minimum hire is usually four hours.

Equipment & Service Details

Castles are delivered, set up and packed away by the Wonderland team, taking about 15 minutes each way, and this happens outside your booked hire time. For backyard parties the castle may arrive any time in the two hours before your start, and for supervised bookings it is usually set up 30 to 60 minutes beforehand. Castles range from 3.5m to 10m long and 3.5m to 5m wide; allow an extra metre around the castle for the blower, check for overhead trees, pergolas and power lines as most castles stand at least 4m tall, and provide a clear 1m-wide path. Grass is the preferred surface for pegging, some small castles can go on concrete, smooth bitumen or artificial turf with sandbags and a crash mat, and dirt, mulch, gravel and rough concrete are not suitable. Power is needed for the whole hire and they bring the extension leads, with a generator available for parks and venues without power; parks and reserves need council permission. Castles only run in daylight and are packed up before sunset. The hirer supervises at all times, shoes, flips, food, drink and streamers are not allowed on the castle, and if severe weather is forecast they will contact you to decide whether to go ahead.

Is delivery included?

Delivery and setup are free within 10km of their Toongabbie warehouse. Further out, contact them for a delivery price. They mainly service Western Sydney, the Hills, the Hawkesbury and the North Shore.

Do I need to pay a deposit, and what if I cancel?

A deposit is welcome but not required, and payment can be cash on the day or a bank transfer. There is no cancellation fee, and if rain is forecast they will call you to discuss options. If the castle is not delivered, you are not charged.

What surface can the castle go on?

Grass is best because the castle can be pegged down. Some smaller castles can go on concrete or smooth bitumen with sandbags and a crash mat, and artificial turf is fine. Dirt, mulch, gravel and rough concrete are not suitable. A site inspection can be arranged if you are unsure.

How far ahead should I book?

Four to six weeks ahead is recommended, longer for corporate and Christmas bookings, as the warmer months book out quickly and specific themes go early. For short notice, call anyway, as they have a large fleet.
