About Jubilee Amusements
Jubilee Amusements is an Appin-based amusement company that has been bringing inflatables and rides to Sydney school fetes, fairs, picnic days, Christmas parties and promotions for more than 25 years. It has represented overseas jumping castle makers in Australia since 1985 and imports and distributes most of the rides it hires out, so much of the fleet is newer than what you see at a typical fete. The business was a finalist in the Camden Wollondilly Small Business Awards in 2018 and again in 2019. For a birthday or backyard party, the party hire range covers the smaller castles and combos: the Playland combo, Fantasy, Dinosaur and Merlin castles for children of about 2 to 8, the Little Mermaid castle, and Cactus Kabin and Clown Cabin, 4.5m by 5m fun houses with a bouncing barn, cargo-net ladder and slide for kids up to 10. Bigger events can step up to the 7m by 8m Lion Castle, Jungle Jive, Lasseter's Lost Gold Mine, Lost Temple and the 11m by 11m Jurassic Park with two slides and a rock wall, as well as inflatable slides such as the Dragster and a four-lane racing water slide. Mechanical rides from the cup and saucer and mini jeeps to dodgems and the Storm, sideshow games, and fairy floss and snow cone machines round out a full carnival. Prices are not published online; the company sends out a price list on request, with individual rates and package prices on rides that work well together. The hire fee covers setup, supervision by trained, uniformed operators who hold working with children clearances, lighting for night events and GST, and generators come with some rides or can be hired separately. Schools can take rides on a profit share rather than a set fee. Attractions are covered by $20 million public liability insurance, rides are registered with the safety regulator where required, and mechanical rides are tested each year by structural and electrical engineers. Card payments are accepted for bookings, and a mobile eftpos machine comes to ticketed events.

It depends on the unit, and each one lists its footprint. The Lion Castle needs an area of about 10m by 14m, Lost Temple about 12m by 18m and Jungle Jive about 18m by 12m. The four-lane racing water slide needs 11m by 17m, three 240V 10 amp outlets and 16,000 litres of water with a constant supply. Generators are included with some rides and can otherwise be hired.
