About Salt and Lime Experiences

Salt and Lime Experiences is a small events studio at Unit 5, 15 Jubilee Avenue in Warriewood, set up by Samantha, who plans and manages the events herself. She came to it after two decades in dance and entertainment, where she ran dance productions, corporate promotions and launch parties. The name comes from her favourite drink, the margarita, and the idea that the mood and the company make an occasion as much as the ingredients do. The work falls into three strands. Event services cover planning and coordination for businesses (product launches, company celebrations, promotional events and workshops) and for private hosts, including birthdays, hens parties and baby showers. Event hire and styling supplies plinths, easels, trestle tables, chairs, glassware, welcome signs, arches and balloon garlands, which can be picked up, dropped off or fully installed; the We Set the Scene package adds concept work, venue visits, mood boards and on-the-day setup. Creative workshops, such as paint and sip or other hands-on sessions with local artists, run as ticketed pop-ups or as private bookings. It suits hosts on the Northern Beaches who want one person to look after both the logistics and the look of a smaller celebration, and teams after an activity-based get-together. Private workshops need eight or more people and can be held at the studio or at a venue you choose. Bookings are held with a 20% non-refundable deposit, with the balance due a week before the event, and self-collected hire items carry a refundable bond.

Pricing

No fee is published for planning and coordination; each event gets a proposal with estimated costs and inclusions. Hire items are priced individually on a 24-hour hire basis, for example small ribbed plinths at $55, large ones at $75, white folding chairs at $5 and coupe glasses at $1.50. A single welcome sign with text is $85, a double arch with text is $150, a balloon garland can be added to a sign from $115, and self-collect balloon garlands run from $75 to $195. Full styling under the We Set the Scene package starts from $550. Travel, delivery and setup fees can apply depending on location. A 20% non-refundable deposit is taken at booking and the balance is due seven days out. Pricing depends on the date, guest numbers and inclusions — enquire for a quote.

How We Work

You start by filling in the online enquiry form with a brief. Samantha then meets you in person or by video call to understand what you want. If you go ahead, she researches and puts together a proposal with estimated costs, services and inclusions for your approval. Depending on the size of the event she can then handle supplier communication, bookings and scheduling, and be there on the day to keep things on track. Styling bookings include venue visits, mood boards and setup, and the client picks the colours and theme.

What kinds of events does Salt and Lime Experiences plan?

Can I just hire props and décor without the planning service?

Yes. Items like plinths, easels, tables, chairs, glassware and balloon garlands can be hired on their own, with pick-up, drop-off or full setup. The self-collect option is called Your Event, Your Way and needs a refundable bond.

What deposit is needed to book?

A 20% non-refundable deposit secures the booking and the rest is due seven days before the event. If you book within 14 days of the date, full payment is due at confirmation, and cancelling inside 14 days is charged in full.

How many people do you need for a private workshop?

Private creative workshops are for groups of eight or more, booked through the contact form. They can run at the Warriewood studio or at your own venue. Ticketed public workshops also need at least eight participants to go ahead.

What does the full styling package include?

The We Set the Scene styling starts from $550 and covers concept and theme development, venue visits, mood boards, sourcing extra equipment, liaising with the venue and other suppliers, and full setup with finishing touches on the day.
