About Scram Escape Rooms Parramatta

Scram Escape Rooms is a Western Sydney company founded in 2016 by Daniel, Jessica and Walid, who were working as McDonald's managers when they sketched out their first game on a corkboard. It opened in 2017 and now runs 13 games across four venues. Two of those venues are in Parramatta, and between them they hold nine games, which makes the city the easiest place to bring a larger group. The O'Connell Street venue has three games: The Wizard Chambers, a wand-hunt through a school dorm that suits all ages; The Doll House, where players are trapped as a collector's life-sized toys; and CR-18, a deep-space rescue mission for up to six. A few minutes away, the Church Street venue adds six more. F.E.A.R. is the one Scram bills as among the scariest in the country, with crawling, smoke and small spaces, and a 15+ age limit. The Witch's Curse, Underland and The Pharaoh's Tomb are puzzle-heavy adventures, Toy Rescue can be played as a cheerful family game or a creepy nightmare version, and The Hangover is an R18+ comedy game written with bucks and hens nights in mind. Every game runs for 60 minutes with unlimited clues, and most rooms suit two to eight players. Larger parties split across rooms and play side by side. Birthday parties and big group bookings are organised with a manager rather than online, so call or email the team to plan the day.

Pricing

Standard escape room bookings are $60 per person for teams of two to eight. Groups of 20 or more pay $50 per person for one game each, or $80 per person for two games each. Kids' birthday parties are $400 per game. A $60 deposit per room secures the booking, with the balance paid on arrival.

Food

Neither venue offers catering, but Parramatta's Church Street restaurant strip is on the doorstep for a meal before or after.

Which games are at which Parramatta venue?

Can a large group play at once?

Yes. Each room takes a team of up to eight, so bigger groups are split across several games running at the same time. Large groups and birthday parties are booked through a manager by phone or email, and may have their own terms.

Are any of the games scary or adults only?

F.E.A.R. is a horror game for ages 15 and up, and The Doll House and the nightmare version of Toy Rescue are aimed at 13 and over. The Hangover is strictly 18+, so bring ID. The Wizard Chambers, Underland and the dream version of Toy Rescue suit families.

What do we pay upfront?

A deposit of $60 per room holds the booking, and the rest is paid when you arrive. Changes to the time, date or player numbers need 24 hours' notice.
