About Maze Karaoke
Maze Karaoke is on the second floor of a building on Dixon Street, in the middle of Sydney's Chinatown and a short walk from Town Hall and Central. It's a private-room karaoke bar: every group gets its own room, and it's open from 2pm until 4am, seven days a week. There are two kinds of room. Standard rooms suit smaller groups and come with two wireless microphones; VIP rooms are bigger, with a 100-inch short-throw laser projector and four microphones, so duets and group numbers don't stall. Every room has a touchscreen song system with a huge catalogue in English, Chinese, Korean and other languages, a strong sound system, lounge seating and adjustable coloured lighting. Room sizes run from a handful of friends to parties of more than 30. Food and drinks are ordered to the room — snacks, share plates, the venue's popular grilled skewers and cocktails — with packages for bigger groups. Outside food and drink isn't allowed, but a birthday cake is fine if you let them know. The nearest parking is at Market City.

How much does a room cost?
In happy hour (Sunday to Thursday, and Friday–Saturday before 8pm) it's from $14 per person per hour, or $16 in a VIP room. On Friday and Saturday nights rooms are charged per hour by group size, from $68 for 1–3 people up to $358 for 30-plus.
