About Ultimate Paintball
Ultimate Paintball has been running since 2007 on 120 acres of bushland at Cawdor, a few minutes out of Camden and roughly an hour from central Sydney. It is an Australian-owned, licensed paintball venue with 14 themed battlefields, among them a Vietnam-themed field, a D-Day assault course, a Zombieland forest, an airfield with a grounded plane, a scrapyard, a trench network and timber forts, plus a hand-built helicopter used as a prop. Referees run each game and move the group between fields. There are no entry fees or gear hire charges. Every player gets camo overalls, a mask with head protection, and a marker with air, then chooses a paintball pack at the counter on the day. Packs start at 500 paintballs for $89, and a 300-paintball pack for $69 is available only when prepaid online. Most players get through 800 to 1,100 paintballs, which covers two to three hours of play. Each player pays a $25 deposit when booking, which comes off their pack on the day, and the organiser earns bonus paintballs once the group reaches five or more. On weekends there is no minimum group size, and smaller groups are mixed with others on the field. Weekday sessions need at least 10 players, and groups of 10 or more can book a private session for $220. Birthday groups can prepay a party pack for 10 players, and bucks parties can ask for the Buck Cage, where the groom is locked in a pyramid cage while his mates open fire. Players must be at least 12 under NSW law, while a separate junior program for ages 8 and up uses lighter, low-impact gear. There is covered seating for more than 200 people, picnic areas, parking for cars and buses, and the Camden Valley Inn is next door for a meal and a drink afterwards.

How much does paintball cost at Ultimate Paintball?
Players pay only for their paintballs. The 300-paintball pack is $69 when prepaid online, and packs bought on the day are $89 for 500, $129 for 800, $159 for 1,100 and $199 for 1,600. Overalls, masks and markers are included, and a $25 deposit per player comes off the pack price.
How old do players need to be?
NSW law requires players to be 12 or older, and a parent or guardian must sign the waiver for any player aged under 18. Bring photo ID, as markers are registered sporting devices. Younger children aged 8 and up can book the junior paintball sessions, which use lighter gear and softer-impact paintballs.
Can our group play on its own?
Yes. Groups of 10 or more can book a private session for $220, which needs to be arranged when you book. Otherwise, on weekends smaller groups play alongside other players, and weekday sessions need at least 10 people.
Do you have birthday and bucks packages?
Birthday party packs cover 10 players and cost $990 with 600 paintballs each or $1,490 with 1,100 each, with extra players charged per head. They must be paid in full five days before. For bucks parties, ask for the Buck Cage when you book.
What should we bring and what if it rains?
Come in closed shoes and long socks, wearing old clothes that can get muddy, and bring a drink bottle, sunscreen and a change of clothes. Games run in rain or shine. Arrive 30 minutes before your start time, and note that sessions begin at 9am, 10am or 11am.
