About Axemania
Axemania is an axe throwing and darts venue on the top floor of House of WOW in Prestons, a family entertainment building shared with the Hyper Strike bowling alley, the Turbo Climb climbing walls and the Monkey Mania play centre. Upstairs there are caged axe throwing lanes, augmented reality dart lanes with built-in games, shuffleboards and table tennis, plus a fully licensed bar and café. Casual visitors can book an hour of axe throwing, a darts lane or a combination of the two. Groups of 8 to 48 have their own packages: the axe package includes hot chips and a drink each, and there are versions that add half an hour of bowling or darts. Corporate packages cover two hours of lane hire with a trophy or medal for the winners, and the silver and gold options add pizza, share platters and drinks. Groups of 24 or more get complimentary shuffleboard, though with larger numbers each player gets around an hour of throwing. The menu runs to pizzas, wings, tacos and chips, with tap beer, wine, cocktails and mocktails. Axe throwing is for ages 12 and up, closed-toe shoes are required, and every guest completes an online waiver. The venue is minutes from the M5 and M7, and group sessions can be arranged outside normal trading hours by email.
