About MANIAX Axe Throwing

MANIAX Sydney Inner West is the Marrickville branch of the MANIAX axe throwing chain, on Jabez Street. It is a large venue, with 10 group lanes and 7 single lanes, and it can take groups of up to 350 throwers. Every session opens with a safety briefing and coaching from a staff member, then moves through different axe types, target games and a tournament to settle who throws best. Walk-ins are welcome and the venue is wheelchair accessible. Small groups can book the one hour Viking Hour, or a 30 minute Express Viking taster on weekday afternoons. Groups of seven or more have a choice of two hour hosted packages: Urban Viking for axe throwing only, Ragnar's Battle with shared pizzas, Thor's Mighty Skal with a one hour drinks package, and the Ultimate Valhalla Feast, which adds pizzas, feast platters and drinks. There is a one hour Ragnarok package aimed at bucks and hens parties, a weekday team building format, and full venue takeovers for big events, quoted on request with a minimum spend. The venue is licensed and the kitchen turns out pizzas and giant beef ribs, alongside craft beer, cocktails and the house mead. At this venue drinks are served only after you finish throwing, and it is not BYO apart from water and a birthday cake. Throwers must be 11 or older, with anyone under 18 supervised by an adult, and closed-toe shoes are required. Sydenham, Stanmore, St Peters and Marrickville stations are all within walking distance, and there is some street parking nearby.

The Viking Hour, a one hour session with a safety briefing and coaching, costs $55 per person for one to six players. The 30 minute Express Viking costs $45 per person, Monday to Friday before 5:30pm, and the Family Pass for families with children aged 11 to 17 costs $39 per person. The Ragnarok bucks and hens package costs $59 per person for one hour. For groups of seven or more, the two hour Urban Viking costs $65 per person, Odin's Team Challenge costs $63 per person, Ragnar's Battle with pizzas costs $89 per person, Thor's Mighty Skal with a one hour drinks package costs $105 per person, and the Ultimate Valhalla Feast costs $139 per person. Full venue takeovers are quoted on request, with a minimum spend.

The kitchen serves pizzas, giant beef ribs and Viking feast platters, and several group packages include shared pizzas or a feast.

Beverages

The venue is licensed for craft beer, cocktails, wine and MANIAX mead, with one hour drinks packages available, but at Sydney Inner West drinks are served only after throwing and BYO is not allowed.
