About Quarrymans Hotel

Quarrymans Hotel has stood on Harris Street in Pyrmont for more than a hundred years, and these days it is best known as a craft beer pub. The bar runs up to 34 taps that rotate through beers sourced mainly from independent Australian breweries, and the staff know the list well enough to steer anyone towards their next pour. Three areas can be booked privately, and the pub caters for functions of up to 120. The Lounge takes up a whole level, with a private bar, balcony, its own toilets, TVs, a wireless microphone and a sound system, and holds 110. The Rooftop, a Palm Springs-themed bar built around cocktails, is also a full level with a private bar, an outdoor terrace, indoor couches, a balcony, toilets, a DJ booth and a sound system, and holds 100. The Beer Garden can be reserved for 25 to 45 people with no minimum spend, secured by a $300 deposit. Function catering is canapé-based, with a minimum of 30 guests: five standard canapés for $35 per person, a mix of standard and premium for $45, or a mostly premium selection for $52. Drinks can run on a bar tab with a limit you set, or on a three- or four-hour package priced from $65 to $85 per person. Functions run for up to five and a half hours, with day events wrapping by 5.30pm and evening events by midnight, and outdoor areas close at 10pm. Pricing

The Lounge has a $3,500 minimum spend from January to November ($1,000 on food) and $5,000 in December ($1,500 on food), with a $750 deposit. The Rooftop minimum spend runs from $4,500 on Mondays and Tuesdays to $6,500 on Fridays outside December, with higher December figures up to $7,500, and a $1,000 deposit. The Beer Garden has no minimum spend and a $300 deposit. Canapés cost $35, $45 or $52 per person, and drinks packages $65 to $85 per person.

Food

Canapé packages for 30 or more guests: five standard canapés at $35 per person, four standard and two premium at $45, or two standard and five premium at $52. Options include arancini, dumplings, pizzas, skewers, sliders and fish and chips, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices. Final orders are due seven days ahead.

Beverages

Run a bar tab with your own limit and drink choices, or pick a standard package ($65 per person for three hours, $75 for four) or premium package ($75 for three hours, $85 for four) covering sparkling, white, rosé and red wine, tap beer and cider, and soft drinks, for groups of 30 or more. Wine by the bottle is not offered for functions.

Can we bring a DJ?

The Rooftop has a DJ booth and sound system, and the Lounge has a sound system and wireless microphone. Live music or DJs have to finish 30 minutes before the function ends.

Are there rules for 21st birthdays?

Yes. The pub does not host 18th, 19th or 20th birthdays. For 21st, 22nd and 23rd birthdays a security guard is required at the client's cost of $70 an hour, and a parent or guardian must attend a 21st.
