About Cosmo the Clown Entertainment
Cosmo the Clown is the stage name of Joel Spence, a children's entertainer and magician who lives at Wentworth Point in Sydney's west. Joel grew up in the Blue Mountains, was putting on shows for family and friends from a young age and took part in school musicals before turning performing into a job. He has spent several years busking as Cosmo, and you may well have seen him drawing a crowd in the Sydney CBD. His act has also travelled to fringe festivals in Adelaide, Melbourne and Edmonton in Canada, an international circus festival in the Czech Republic, Sydney's Bastille Festival, the Glenbrook spring festival and a film premiere red carpet. For birthday parties, Cosmo runs a comedy magic show of around 45 minutes to an hour. It mixes tricks, clowning, music and a bit of dancing, with plenty of chances for the kids to join in, and once the show wraps up he twists a balloon animal for each child to take home.
