Fab Fun is a Sydney entertainment supplier that has been running children's parties, corporate family days, school holiday programs and brand activations since 2008. Its office is at Norwest in the Hills District, and its entertainers travel to the party, venue or event site. Face painting is the core service, and most bookings combine it with balloon twisting, hair braiding, games hosting or a character appearance rather than standing alone. The face painters work on children's events and parties, adults' parties, Halloween make-up, corporate and community events and large public activations, with airbrush artists and custom stencils available for branded work. Balloon twisters range from fast designs for busy events to more intricate pieces for small gatherings, covering animals, hats, superhero and fairy themes, swords, wands and wings. Other services include hair braiding with coloured extensions, glitter and makeup bars, craft and slime workshops, LEGO and circus workshops, stilt walkers and other circus performers, games hosts with props and prizes, party and event emcees, and roving or stage magicians. Costumed characters cover clowns, fairies, princesses, mermaids, pirates, superheroes and Christmas characters. A consultant takes your party requirements and matches an entertainer to them. All entertainers must hold a valid Working with Children Check, and the company carries public liability cover of up to $20,000,000 with a certificate of currency available on request. Fab Fun is insured to entertain rather than to supervise, so a parent or guardian needs to be present for the booking. Where an outdoor event is rained out, an indoor alternative should be arranged.

What can a face painter do at my event?
Full-face and cheek designs for children's parties and school events, adults' and fancy dress parties, Halloween make-up, corporate parties, community events and large-scale activations. For branded work the team can airbrush using custom-made stencils and paint in your colours or theme.

What does it cost and how do I hold a date?
Prices are not published, so a consultant quotes on your event. Private bookings are held with a minimum deposit of $150, which comes off the final payment, and the balance is due by the Tuesday before the party. Deposits are forfeited if a party is cancelled within 48 hours. Corporate bookings are invoiced after the event.
Which areas do you travel to?
Sydney, Wollongong and the Central Coast. A travel charge may apply for bookings outside those areas, quoted when you enquire.
What insurance and checks do the entertainers have?
All Fab Fun entertainers hold a valid Working with Children Check and individual public liability insurance for cover up to $20,000,000, with a certificate of currency available on request. Compliance documents and safe work method statements are available for entertainers working on larger events. The insurance covers entertainment rather than child care, so a parent or guardian needs to be present or nearby for the booking.
