Clear allFrom a private room for 14 beside a wine cellar to a ballroom that seats 280, Parramatta's birthday options suit very different celebrations. Heritage Lounge, Restaurant 317, Ruse Bar & Brasserie, MISC. Parramatta, Commercial Hotel Parramatta, Outdoor Area @ Woolpack Hotel, Sahra by the River and Ballroom @ Parra Villa Function Lounge all sit in the city centre or on its parkland edge, so the real choice comes down to how long the guest list runs and whether the night is a dinner or a dance.
Match the birthday to the room:
Friends-only birthdays tend to suit the Woolpack or the Ruse bar, where people can drift between tables. When grandparents, cousins and family friends are all coming, a seated banquet at Sahra or Parra Villa keeps everyone together for the toasts and the cake.

Ruse Bar & Brasserie has a private dining room beside its wine cellar that seats up to 14. Function set menus are designed so the whole table tries the kitchen's best charcoal and open-fire dishes, and menu options and pricing come back after an enquiry. For a drinks-led birthday, Heritage Lounge books groups of up to 20 through its event form, with canapés and VIP bottle service.
Parra Villa Function Lounge's ballroom takes up to 280 at tables or 450 standing, with a central dance floor, and packages there begin from $55 per person. For a canapé-style party inside Parramatta Park, MISC. Parramatta holds as many as 300. ALEX&Co.'s Bar Lounge has a DJ booth, a sound system and room to dance for up to 120 standing, with a resident DJ on Friday and Saturday nights.
The Woolpack Hotel's outdoor area is priced from $25 per person. The pub looks after food and entertainment, and you can run a bar tab or choose a drinks package for up to 112 standing guests. Restaurant 317 on Church Street starts from $500 minimum spend for 20 guests, and its free event coordinator can arrange the cake and décor.
Sahra by the River can arrange a belly dancer, a henna artist, a fortune teller or Lebanese drummers. MISC. Parramatta is DJ friendly, and the Ruse bar has a DJ playing 80s and 90s tracks on Friday nights. Commercial Hotel Parramatta's team can organise DJs, photo booths and balloons, though 18th birthdays aren't taken there.
