About Festoon Lighting Sydney
Festoon Lighting Sydney is run by licensed electricians, led by director William, and has lit more than 800 events since 2015. Alongside event hire the business does permanent festoon installs, tree lighting and Christmas displays, so the crew is used to rigging lights safely in backyards, courtyards, pubs and function venues. For parties the hire range includes festoon strings, pendant lamps in several shapes and drop heights, warm white fairy lights, icicle strands, fairy light curtains, up-lighting and freestanding frames. Their signature piece is a fairy light tunnel: a matt white frame dressed in warm LEDs, built in 4 x 3m sections that join to a length of up to 12m, good for a dining area or an entrance. Everything runs on 24V low-voltage, outdoor-rated commercial LED lighting. Where there is nothing to tie off to, they bring bamboo poles, black or white powder-coated poles, or freestanding bases with heavy weights, and secure runs with catenary wire and clamps. You can have the crew handle drop-off, install and pack-down, including late-night bump-outs, or take the lights as dry hire and put them up yourself. Delivery is free to most of Sydney, and they will offer install tips on arrival. The hire period runs for seven days, which gives time to set up ahead of the event. Quotes are all-inclusive, whether the job is a 20m dry hire or a large marquee fit-out. It suits backyard birthdays, engagement parties, formals and outdoor corporate events.

Can I hire festoon lights and put them up myself?
Yes. Dry hire is available for festoon and fairy lights, and the team can give tips on the install when they drop the lights off. Or you can book their electricians to do the whole setup.
How long is the hire period?
Hire runs for seven days, so you have time to install before the event and pack down afterwards. If you book an install, the crew can work around venue bump-in times and late pack-downs.
Do they charge for delivery?
Delivery is free to most of Sydney. Quotes are all-inclusive, so the price you are given covers the job without surprise add-ons.
