Birthday Party Venues in the Eastern Suburbs

Choosing the Right Birthday Party Venue

Birthday venues across the Eastern Suburbs cluster in Guildford, with three heritage hotels in that suburb alone, and single options in Maylands, Bassendean, Beechboro and Ellenbrook.

Guildford suits a party that wants a room with character and a wide range of sizes, while the other suburbs offer a relaxed local tavern or one dedicated party space.

How the birthday spaces differ from suburb to suburb:

Guildford: The Guildford Hotel has an upstairs Vaudeville Room that seats 80 or holds 110 standing, with canapés from $37 per person
Also in Guildford, The Stirling Arms Hotel offers a Band Room with a raised stage for 250 standing, and The Woodbridge Hotel pairs The Guinness Room + The Balcony for up to 70
Maylands: Peninsula Tavern's Nelson's Bar is a private room with its own bar, a small dance floor and bathrooms, for up to 140
Bassendean: The Balcony @ The Bassendean Hotel wraps around the corner upstairs with its own outdoor bar, taking up to 130 standing when hired whole
Beechboro and Ellenbrook: Springs Tavern charges no venue hire fee on any area, and The Brook Bar & Bistro sets aside its Garden Bar for 10 to 200

The Guildford Hotel suits a party that might grow, with rooms from the Vaudeville Room up to exclusive hire of the whole hotel for 750
The Woodbridge Hotel keeps things smaller, with upstairs platters sized for eight to ten guests and a capped bar tab you can lift on the night
The Stirling Arms Hotel lets you bring a DJ or photo booth into its Band Room, and its art deco Lounge Bar takes 70 seated for a smaller dinner
Grand Feasts at The Guildford Hotel come from the in-house smoker, with brisket, chicken, pork and ribs shared down the table

Outside Guildford: Maylands, Bassendean, Beechboro, Ellenbrook

Peninsula Tavern's West Wing fits a smaller birthday of 20 to 50, with its platter menu ordered a fortnight ahead
Grazing tables at The Balcony @ The Bassendean Hotel start from $28 per person for 50 or more guests
Springs Tavern's Sports Bar holds up to 50, and its screens can show a game if the birthday group wants to watch
The Brook Bar & Bistro is fine with banners, flowers and weighted balloons, and can take delivery of a cake before guests arrive
