About The Guildford Hotel
The Guildford Hotel is a restored heritage pub on the corner of James and Johnson streets in Guildford, with a belvedere tower out front. Inside, two floors of exposed brick, reclaimed timber and brass finishes hold a run of private and semi-private function areas. On level one, the Vaudeville Room has six arched windows along its western wall and timber floors, and seats 80 or holds 110 standing. Booking Level One Exclusive adds the balconies, a landing for arrivals and a private bar, for up to 200 guests, with lift access. The 1915 Verandah looks over James Street and keeps its original spiral staircase. Downstairs, the Hiscox Courtyard has a retractable roof, the Pitside beer garden sits beside the smoker, and the Greenwall area suits long-table dining for about 30. The Hall, a converted former theatre with high ceilings and chandeliers, opens onto its own courtyard and takes up to 200 when booked exclusively. For bigger events, the whole hotel can be hired for up to 750. Catering runs from canapé packages to shared Grand Feasts built around brisket, chicken, pork and ribs from the in-house smoker, plus plated set menus. Drinks come as standard, premium or deluxe packages, a bar tab or a cash bar. The team plans birthdays, engagements, weddings, Christmas parties and corporate functions.
