About Pavilion @ Dawn Fraser Baths
Dawn Fraser Baths is a heritage-listed saltwater tidal pool in Balmain's Elkington Park, managed by the Inner West Council. Its pavilion is right on the pool's edge: low buildings with a verandah feel and timber decks running round the greenish water, with established trees behind. The space is open-air and fits 40 standing or 20 seated, suiting easygoing get-togethers where people drift between chatting on the deck and going for a swim. There are change rooms and showers close by, lifeguards on duty, step-free access and accessible toilets. Wi-Fi is available, and music is up to you, whether that's your own playlist or a DJ, as long as it stays within local noise limits. The venue doesn't cater, so bring food yourself or hire a caterer, and bring your own drinks with no corkage charged.
