Funktionality Events and Experiences is a Sydney event company that Tracy Wood set up in 2000, in the lead-up to the Sydney Olympics. More than 25 years on, it plans and runs corporate celebrations, conferences, incentive programs, brand activations, private parties and weddings. The business runs from a three-level warehouse in Marrickville stocked with furniture, props and décor sourced from overseas, which means the team designing an event is usually also supplying what goes into the room. In 2025 it collected awards from Spice News, LUXlife and Business Circle, including Event Management Company of the Year for Sydney. The core work is full event management: developing a theme, finding a venue that suits it, then styling, lighting, sound and AV, entertainment and catering, all tied together with a detailed schedule. For conferences the team can also handle delegate accommodation, transport, speakers and MCs, branded templates and the social side, such as welcome drinks and gala dinners. Incentive trips for high-performing staff are planned as a destination management service, with itineraries, touring and themed dinners around Australia. Couples can book wedding planning with styling, florals, décor hire and on-the-day coordination. Recent Sydney jobs include awards nights, company anniversaries, charity gala balls at Sydney Town Hall, an end-of-year party at the MCA, a Hollywood-themed staff party, a 1920s-themed 60th birthday and a flash mob proposal. Do they only do corporate events?
No. Corporate functions, conferences and incentives make up much of the work, but the team also plans private parties, milestone birthdays, proposals and weddings.

Yes. They keep furniture, props and styling pieces in their Marrickville warehouse and run an entertainment arm with roving acts, stage shows, photo booths, children's entertainers and team-building activities.
