About The Barrel at Clouds Vineyard
The Barrel sits at Clouds Vineyard on Landsborough Maleny Road, high in the Sunshine Coast hinterland with wide views to the Glass House Mountains. The building itself is shaped like an enormous wine barrel, and it trades as a bistro and cellar door pouring local wine and craft beer. The venue has six areas for groups. The main bar holds 30, the Oak Room on the mezzanine and the Barrel Room behind the bar each take 15, and the Cellar Room seats 25 around a long polished timber table. For bigger numbers there is the Glasshouse Room upstairs, which holds up to 100 and comes with a private bar, its own amenities and views across the hinterland. Outside, the alfresco area also takes 100, with barrel tables, giant chess and a children's playground. Room hire is charged per space, from $300 for an allocated alfresco area to $1,500 for the Glasshouse Room. The whole venue can be booked exclusively for a day, and hire covers staff, linen, crockery and glassware, plus access to the gardens for photos. The kitchen offers canapés by the piece or as an eight-item package, plated entrées and mains, grazing boards, desserts and a buffet. Beverage packages run from two to five hours, and a capped bar tab or cash bar can be arranged instead. Exclusive use of the whole venue for the day is $6,000 on a weekday and $8,000 on a weekend. A 10% room charge is paid when booking, with the balance due seven days out.
Food
Dessert plates are $18 per person, a buffet with roast meats, salads and hot dishes is $75 per person for 50 or more, and a children's menu is $20. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options are marked through the menu.
Beverages
Hosts can instead set a bar tab with a dollar limit or let guests pay as they go from the drinks list. Cocktails may be available on request.

Which spaces can be booked for a function?

How much does room hire cost?
Allocated alfresco areas start at $300 and the Barrel Room is $350. The Oak Room and Cellar Room are $500 each, and the Glasshouse Room is $1,500. Exclusive use of the entire venue for the day is $6,000 on a weekday and $8,000 on a weekend.
What food packages are available?
Canapés are $9 per item, or a continuous canapé package of eight items is $72 per person for 50 guests or more. There are also grazing boards for five at $85, plated entrées at $20, mains at $55 and a buffet at $75 per person for groups of 50 or more.
How do drinks work at a function?
A standard package of wine, tap beer, juice and soft drink runs from $55 per person for two hours to $70 for five. The premium package adds house spirits and runs from $70 to $85 per person, both for 30 guests or more. A bar tab with a dollar limit or a cash bar are the alternatives.
What are the booking terms?
A 10% room charge is paid on booking and is only refunded if the room can be rebooked. The balance is due seven days before the event, and groups of 20 or more order from the function menu.
