About Maleny Orchard
Maleny Orchard is a 70-acre private property on Mountain View Road in Maleny, in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. A long private driveway winds through rainforest and past the orchard and lake before the land opens onto wide views over the Glass House Mountains. The property is hired whole for weddings, elopements and private events, so only one celebration is ever on the grounds. Ceremonies take place on the lawns under the wedding arbour, and the reception can be set with the venue's own dining tables, chairs and wine barrels. This is a true DIY venue. Couples bring in their own caterer, styling and drinks, and set up and pack down themselves or through their suppliers. Caterers can cook in the farmhouse kitchen or arrive as food trucks, and there is no preferred supplier list. The farmhouse sleeps ten across four bedrooms and has a large kitchen, a lounge with a fireplace, a wood-fired hot tub and a cedar sauna. One night's stay for ten comes with the wedding fee, and guests who are not staying leave the property at 10pm. Around the grounds are fruit trees, beehives and a small herd of alpacas that guests can help feed. On the day, the two onsite managers mow the ceremony area, guide parking and suppliers, light the fire pits and drive couples around the property for photos.

How many guests can Maleny Orchard hold?
Weddings are for 11 to 50 guests and elopements for 2 to 10. The property has a firm maximum of 50 guests.
What does a wedding at Maleny Orchard cost?
Weddings carry a flat function fee of $15,000 for 11 to 50 guests. Elopements for up to 10 guests are $4,000 and are held mid-week, with some exceptions in the off season.
Can we choose our own caterer and bring our own drinks?
Yes. Any caterer is welcome, with no preferred supplier list, and they can cook in the farmhouse kitchen or bring a food truck. Drinks are BYO.
What furniture and equipment is included?
The fee covers the wedding arbour, ceremony chairs, eight dining tables and 50 extra reception chairs, plus signing, sweetheart and cake tables. Plates, cutlery and glassware, stocked fire pits, six wine barrels with 18 stools and bamboo poles for hanging lights are also included.
What time does the celebration have to finish?
Guests who are not staying overnight must leave by 10pm, and the onsite managers make sure everyone heads off on time. The hire works in 24-hour blocks, with check-out at the same time of day you choose to check in.
