About Maleny Hotel
The Maleny Hotel sits on Bunya Street at the entrance to Maleny, in the Sunshine Coast hinterland among dairy country and rainforest. It has served the town as a meeting place for generations and now runs a bistro, public bar, lounge, beer garden and bottle shop. For functions, the pub offers indoor and outdoor areas with a relaxed, rustic feel. A long-table dinner can be set up in the restaurant, while a cocktail-style party works well out in the leafy beer garden. The team regularly hosts birthdays and engagements, weddings from the ceremony through to the reception, and gatherings before or after a wedding. Meetings, sporting club presentations, community groups and celebrations of life are also part of the mix, and Christmas functions run for small and large groups. Catering is handled in-house. Seated groups of 30 or more can choose a two-course alternate-drop menu, with a choice of two entrées and two mains, at $59 or $69 per person. Stand-up events can order platters, from sandwiches and antipasto to hot finger food and seafood, or canapé boards with savoury and sweet bites. Drinks can run on a bar tab, or guests can pay as they go at the bar. The taps carry a mix of familiar and rotating beers, alongside a wine list and a cocktail list.
