About Secrets on the Lake
Secrets on the Lake is a rainforest retreat on Narrows Road at Montville, set above Lake Baroon in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Alongside its treehouse stays it runs a café and restaurant open to day visitors, and it takes private functions and weddings. Three spaces are used for group dining. The Hideaway is a private, air-conditioned dining room among the treetops for 10 to 20 guests, with a wraparound veranda, bifold doors, its own bathroom and a screen for music, slideshows or presentations. The Gallery hangs work by local artists and seats 35 to 45 at long tables, and it is yours alone when booked privately. Dining on the Deck is an open-air terrace over the lake for 15 to 80 guests, shared with café diners unless you book the whole deck. Group lunches run Tuesday to Sunday for at least 15 guests, with seasonal two-course menus from $60 per person and three courses from $80. High tea in three styles, from classic to champagne, suits showers and birthdays, and celebration cakes can be ordered ahead. Weddings use lakeside ceremony spots in the gardens, with receptions on the Sunset Deck for up to 80 seated or 90 cocktail-style and the Lakehouse as a wet-weather option. Wedding guests can also stay on site.
