Montvale is a private garden estate on Main Street in Montville, screened by thick greenery so it feels secluded even though the village shops are a few minutes away on foot. The property focuses on small, fully planned weddings and also takes corporate events and end-of-year functions. The Glass House is its main event building. Weathered beams of reclaimed timber climb towards a glass roof that looks straight up into the tree canopy, and a stonemason-built siltstone fireplace anchors one end of the room. With a six-metre ceiling, skylights and reverse-cycle air conditioning, the room stays comfortable in summer and turns cosy around the fire in winter. It is wheelchair accessible, with an accessible bathroom. Reception packages in the Glass House run for four hours with up to 40 guests, either as a relaxed canapé and fork-food gathering among barrels and lounge settings, or as a formal sit-down meal with shared platters down the tables. The Fig Tree Patch outdoor area can be added, and the whole estate holds up to 60 people. Packages cover styling, furniture, florals, catering and on-the-day coordination, and hosts choose their own bar tab value from the full range of drinks stocked.
