About Spicers Clovelly Estate
Spicers Clovelly Estate is a boutique hotel on Balmoral Road in Montville, styled after a country retreat in provincial France. A tree-lined drive leads up to the manor, which is surrounded by clipped hedges, fountains, stone paths and lawns running into rainforest. The estate hosts weddings, milestone celebrations, birthday occasions, small conferences and festive work gatherings. Exclusive use of the whole property can be arranged, and a dedicated team looks after events from setup to the final toast. The Library Deck is the main function space for groups, holding between 15 and 80 guests. Smaller parties of 10 to 15 can book the Long Apron Terrace, and the gardens offer several spots for outdoor ceremonies. Food comes from The Long Apron, the estate's own French bistro, which cooks modern French dishes from seasonal local produce. Wedding menus run from canapés and a three-course meal through to a five-course set menu, with late-night cheese and charcuterie in the top package. Drinks are handled through premium and platinum beverage packages of five or six hours, built into each wedding package. Add-ons such as live oyster shucking during canapés and a champagne tower on the lawn are also offered. The estate has 19 suites, so the wedding party and guests can stay on site.
