About The Wembley Hotel
The Wembley Hotel has stood on Cambridge Street in Wembley since 1932 and was the suburb's first two-storey building. The Federation and Art Deco pub is classified by the National Trust and is still West Australian owned, with a beer garden, a sports bar and a bistro downstairs. For private events the hotel offers six areas, each looked after by a dedicated functions manager. The main one is the White Room upstairs, a private room with its own bar and balcony that holds up to 90 guests, or 130 once the balcony is added. The White Room can be set up theatre, banquet, cabaret, classroom or cocktail style. A microphone and PA, projector, round tables and high bar tables are included where needed, along with a mirror ball and party lighting, and live music or a DJ can be arranged for this room. Outdoors, the Cambridge Street Courtyard takes up to 100 guests on exclusive use, and the Laneway is a brick-walled alley with a partly open roof for 20 to 50. The Deck sits above the main venue for 25 to 35, Ferment is a tucked-away private bar for 30 to 60, and the Boardroom seats six to 12. Food comes as grazing and canapé platters, sushi, sliders and pizzas ordered by the platter, or as two and three course set menus that can be shaped to a budget. Drinks run on a house or VIP package charged by the hour, on a bar tab, or with a signature cocktail on arrival.

Frequently asked questions
How many guests can The Wembley Hotel hold for a function?
The White Room upstairs takes up to 90 guests, or 130 with its balcony. The courtyard holds up to 100 on exclusive use, Ferment 30 to 60, the Laneway 20 to 50, the Deck 25 to 35 and the Boardroom six to 12.
Is there a minimum spend or room hire fee?
The hotel does not publish set figures. Depending on the space and date, a room hire fee or a minimum spend may apply, and the functions manager confirms it when you send an enquiry.
What drinks packages are available?
The Wembley Package covers house sparkling and wines, tap beer and soft drinks for $30 per person for each hour. The VIP Package adds better wines and house spirits for $35 per person for each hour. Both run for two to four hours. A bar tab paid as drinks are poured is another option, and a cocktail on arrival can be added.
Can we have a DJ or band?
Yes, the venue can recommend live acts and DJs, priced on application. Live music and DJs are offered in the White Room only, which also comes with a mirror ball and party lighting.
Is the White Room wheelchair accessible?
No. The White Room and the Boardroom are on the upper level and have no lift access, so the courtyard, Laneway or Ferment are the better choices for guests who need step-free access.

Great atmosphere. Good for watching sports events and has live music at weekends. Good beer selection. Indoor and outdoor seating. Can get noisy if there is a sporting even being shown.
