About The Claremont Hotel

The Claremont Hotel has traded on Bay View Terrace since 1886 and has been restored with a modern extension behind the heritage front. The station is about 100 metres away, and the pub runs a public bar, the Bay Lounge restaurant, a courtyard with a kids' play area and a rooftop bar. The main function space is the Grevillea Room on level one, a light-filled room with a private bar that holds 175 standing or 80 seated. Next door, the Balcony Bar adds a private bar and verandah over Bay View Terrace, and the Nook offers booth seating for around 50. The rooftop can be booked by section for 50 or exclusively for 190, with access to a private bar and the option of a DJ. Booking the Grevillea, Balcony, Nook and Rooftop together opens the whole of level one to 588 guests. On the ground floor, the Bay Lounge suits 42 seated or 65 standing and has its own TV and small verandah. The Bistro takes 42 seated or 60 standing, and the courtyard holds 90 for relaxed daytime gatherings. Function food runs from canapé packages and grazing stations to two and three course set menus. Drinks come as standard, premium or deluxe packages of two to four hours, or as a bar tab or cash bar, and the whole venue is wheelchair friendly.
