About Sunset Terrace @ Scarboro Surf Life Saving Club
Scarboro Surf Life Saving Club sits on The Esplanade, right on Scarborough Beach, where its volunteer lifesavers patrol the sand on summer weekends and public holidays. The clubhouse hires out its function room, the Sunset Terrace, for weddings, parties and corporate gatherings. The room runs along the beach side of the building behind walls of glass, so the ocean fills the view from almost every table. Its name gives away the main event, as the sun drops into the water on the western horizon. The space takes up to 200 guests, with the final number depending on how you lay it out. The club's own gallery shows it set with long banquet tables for a seated dinner, styled with lounges and greenery for a relaxed reception, and dressed up for themed nights. The club can point you to caterers who handle both cocktail-style events and seated dinners. Hosts can dress the room with decorations they supply themselves. The venue is fully accessible. Free and paid parking options sit close by for guests, and the club's functions team handles availability and bookings.
