About Portofinos Beach.Bar.Kitchen
Portofinos Beach.Bar.Kitchen sits on Quinns Road in Mindarie, right on the coast at Quinns Beach. It has been trading since 1997 as a licensed restaurant and bar, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with wide views across the ocean. Groups book a reserved section inside one of four areas rather than taking a room to themselves. The choices are the function room, the balcony, the grassed alfresco lawn and the main dining room, and every one of them looks out to the water. The function room is set with high tables and stools and has live music on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The main dining room takes up to 44 guests with no more than 22 at a table, while the balcony and lawn suit relaxed outdoor gatherings. Any single function is capped at 80 people. For food, the kitchen sends out shared platters built for 10 guests each, from breads and dips to seafood, cheese and Asian-style selections. Set menus are also available for large groups, and every dietary need can be discussed ahead of the day. Drinks run on consumption from the bar, either prepaid with a limit or settled at the end on a card held by staff. The venue is fully licensed, so no alcohol can be brought in. There is no venue hire fee. Groups of 30 or more pre-order and prepay their food, and a minimum spend applies from 40 guests, with any shortfall charged as venue hire.

Frequently asked questions
Can we book Portofinos exclusively for our function?
No. Portofinos only takes semi-private bookings, meaning your group has a reserved section within the function room, balcony, grassed area or main dining room while the rest of the venue keeps trading. Numbers, set-up and duration are set for each booking.
How many guests can a function hold?
Any one function is capped at 80 people. The main dining room has a lower limit of 44 guests, with no more than 22 seated at a single table.
Is there a hire fee or minimum spend?
There is no venue hire fee for a reserved section. Groups of 30 or more must pre-order and pay for food to hold their area, and bookings of 40 or more carry a minimum spend on food. If that spend is not reached, the gap is charged as venue hire.
Can we bring in a DJ or our own speakers?
DJs are not allowed because bookings share the venue with other diners, and outside speakers need management approval in advance. The in-house sound system plays background music until 9pm, after which the volume can go up.
What time do functions finish?
From Wednesday to Saturday the venue closes at 11pm with last drinks at 10.30pm. On Sunday, Monday and Tuesday it closes at 10pm, with last drinks at 9.30pm.
