About Island Market
Island Market is a coastal restaurant on West Coast Drive in Trigg, set up on the rise above the beach in Perth's northern suburbs. The dining room takes in a sweeping view of the Indian Ocean, and an enclosed courtyard on the southern side opens the space to the sea air. The venue splits into several bookable areas. Taking over the whole place gives you the restaurant and the courtyard together, with room for up to 250 standing or 150 at tables, mixing high bar tables, booths and long banquet settings. Half the venue, from the fireplace to the southern end, holds up to 110 standing or 100 seated and can add the courtyard. A semi-private nook behind the olive trees, near the ocean-facing windows, suits around 50 guests seated or standing and is a regular choice for baby showers. The alfresco courtyard itself is kept for private functions only and takes about 50 for drinks. Large umbrellas shade it by day and strings of festoon lights take over once the sun drops, which makes it a natural fit for late-afternoon gatherings. Food comes from the kitchen as set menus for groups of 12 or more: a breakfast menu with coffee or tea, or a two or three-course lunch or dinner built around shared entrées and a choice of main. For a cocktail-style event you can build your own selection of canapés priced by the piece, with grazing boards as a welcome snack. Drinks run as fixed packages over two to four hours at three levels, or on consumption from a chosen list of wines, tap beers and cocktails. Minimum spends apply to every event space and vary with the area, date and time.

Frequently asked questions
How many guests can Island Market hold?
The whole venue takes up to 250 guests cocktail style or 150 seated. Half the venue holds up to 110 standing or 100 seated, while the area behind the olive trees and the alfresco courtyard each suit about 50.
What do the function menus cost?
Set menus are for groups of 12 or more. Breakfast is $45 per person including coffee or tea, and lunch or dinner is $75 per person for two courses or $85 per person for three. Canapés are $6 or $9 a piece with a minimum order of 20 pieces per item, and a grazing board starter is $12 per person.
Is there a minimum spend?
Yes. Every event space carries a minimum spend on food and drinks, set by the area, date and time you book. If the spend isn't reached, the difference is charged as a venue hire fee.
Can we bring our own cake or decorations?
You can bring your own cake, with a cakeage fee of $5 per person, and the team will keep a small cake in the fridge until it's time. Small table decorations such as flowers are welcome, but balloons and confetti aren't allowed because the venue sits right by the ocean.
Can dietary requirements be catered for?
Yes. The kitchen adjusts the set menu for any dietary need, as long as requirements are confirmed 48 hours before the booking. The replacement dish is decided by the chefs on the day using fresh produce.
