About Scarborough Beach Bar
Scarborough Beach Bar sits on the first floor at 1 Manning Street, looking straight out over Scarborough Beach. It trades daily as a bar and casual restaurant, with spritzes, gin, tap beer, pizza, burgers and seafood. The venue is split into several function areas. The Sunset Deck is a semi-alfresco space facing the beach that seats 50 or holds 60 standing, and a smaller section of it suits about 25. Oceanside is the restaurant area, seating 48 or holding 60, and it works for a casual birthday lunch or a set menu dinner. Beachside Deluxe is a booth-lined corner near the bar for 24 seated or 30 standing. For bigger events the whole bar can be booked exclusively, seating 150 or holding 275 for cocktails. Most areas are semi-private, so exclusive hire is the option for a fully private event. Function food centres on canapé packages of six, eight or ten options, hot sliders and bowls by the piece, and platters of 25 pieces. Desserts include brownies, churros and a vegan caramel slice. Drinks packages need at least 20 guests, all on the package, with a bar tab or cash bar as alternatives. Send an enquiry to check dates and book.

Exclusive hire of the venue takes up to 275 standing or 150 seated. The Sunset Deck holds 60, Oceanside 60 and Beachside Deluxe 30, with a smaller Sunset Deck section for about 25.
What do the food packages cost?
Canapé packages are $35 per person for six options, $42 per person for eight and $53 per person for ten. Hot substantial items are $9 each with a minimum of six, and platters of 25 pieces cost $75 to $190.
How do the drinks packages work?
Packages need a minimum of 20 guests and everyone must be on the same package. Standard runs $43, $55 or $70 per person for two, three or four hours, and premium $53, $68 or $81 per person.
Can we bring a cake and decorations?
Yes, cakes are welcome and there is no cakeage fee. Decorations are allowed as long as they aren't messy and don't disturb other customers.
