About Courtyard Restaurant & Bar @ HostCo Sydney
HostCo Sydney's Courtyard Restaurant & Bar is the open-air event space at the venue's Science Road site in Camperdown, within the University of Sydney grounds. The courtyard is paved in large stone slabs and enclosed by white classical building fronts, with greenery in low planter beds and festoon lights strung overhead that set the mood after dark. Size is the main selling point. It takes 500 on their feet or 200 seated, one of the bigger outdoor spaces this near the city. Simple metal outdoor furniture is arranged to suit a standing or seated event, and several doorways lead into neighbouring indoor areas, handy if the weather changes. For suppliers there's outdoor power for AV and catering, which saves bringing in generators, along with Wi-Fi, a built-in PA for speeches or music and two TVs. There's paid parking on site and close by, Newtown and Glebe are either side, and buses run along Parramatta Road.
