About Brush and Sip
Brush and Sip is a paint and sip studio at 547 King Street in Newtown. The idea is simple: you paint a picture on canvas over about three hours while an instructor takes the group through it step by step, and you bring whatever drinks and snacks you like. It is about having a go rather than fine art technique, so it works for people who have never painted. The three hours include settling in, drying breaks between steps, and time to clean up and take photos at the end. Public sessions are $55 per person, with a different painting on the calendar each session. Private events are $60 per person for three hours with the studio reserved for your group, a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 36 guests, and you choose the painting from the studio's selection. Brush and Sip hosts birthdays, hens parties, workplace team building, Christmas parties, farewells, reunions and family celebrations, and can also run events at an external venue for a higher price plus a transport fee. Children's birthday parties for ages 6 to 12 are $35 for two hours. The studio is strictly BYO and does not sell drinks or provide catering. A fridge, glassware and a Bluetooth speaker are supplied, and a few serving platters are available on request, so bring your own plates, napkins and cutlery if you need them. Food deliveries are welcome once you have arrived. Private sessions run in set time slots through the week, including morning, afternoon and 7pm starts on weekends.

When can we book a private event?
Monday to Thursday any start time from 10am, with 7pm the latest start. Friday and Saturday slots are 9am, 2pm or 7pm, and Sunday slots are 10am, 3pm or 7pm, all subject to availability. Submit the online request form and the studio replies by email within 72 hours with a deposit link.
