About Nick & Nora's Parramatta
Nick & Nora's Parramatta is a cocktail and Champagne bar on level 26 of 45 Macquarie Street, styled on the post-prohibition glamour of the 1930s. As well as serving the public, it runs hosted masterclasses for groups, taught by its own bartenders, with terraces looking out over the Parramatta skyline. The cocktail masterclass generally runs for an hour and a half, suits groups of 8 to 18 guests and includes a host plus three cocktails that guests learn to make. There are three other formats: a martini masterclass of about 60 minutes with four half martinis for 8 to 18 guests, a whisky masterclass of about 90 minutes with five 15ml pours and a charcuterie and cheese platter for 6 to 20 guests, and a Champagne masterclass with five glasses. Any class can stand alone or be built into a longer afternoon or evening event, and the bar's events team can combine it with a private space such as the Champagne Parlour, the Boardroom or a section of the terrace. The bar is fully licensed and is not BYO. Its menu covers oysters, caviar and canapés, and function packages can add interactive extras such as Champagne sabrage. It is strictly 18 and over, with a smart casual dress code, and bookings with dietary needs require at least 48 hours' notice. The nearest train station is Parramatta and the closest parking is Secure Parking at the Lang Centre. The masterclasses work well for hens and bucks groups, birthdays, team building and client entertaining.
