About Barefoot

Barefoot is a 12-metre sailing catamaran that suits groups of up to 30 who want a relaxed day on Sydney Harbour with a bit of style. The open deck is the main event, with two oversized daybeds for lying in the sun, and there's a cocktail table on the back deck for drinks as you cruise. Inside, plush lounges and two large tables give everyone somewhere to sit and eat. The galley has two ovens and a cooktop, there's a BBQ, two fridges, a freezer and two large eskies, and wine and champagne glasses, platters and serving tables are all supplied. For swimming, there's a ladder off the stern and a spacious bathroom with hot and cold showers to rinse off afterwards. A TV, WiFi and 240V power for a DJ round out the setup.

Pricing

Barefoot is hired for 4-hour charters. Weekdays cost $2,200 and weekends $2,600, and any day in December is $2,400. Public holidays are priced as longer charters: $3,900 for 5 hours or $4,680 for 6 hours.

On top of the hire fee, wharf fees are $50 per wharf and a $100 BYO fee applies. The optional Big Sound add-on is $100 for two powered DJ/PA speakers with 240V power. An $800 deposit secures the date, the balance is due 10 days before the event, and a $500 damage bond is paid before the cruise and returned afterwards.

Food

You're welcome to bring your own food, and plates, cutlery, platters, bowls and serving tables are all provided. If you'd rather have it sorted, the Captain's Gourmet Platters are $15 per person for a choice of two from seasonal fruit, cheese and dessert platters. The Captain's Gourmet BBQ is $30 per person, with gourmet sausages, roast corn, marinated lamb and vegetable kebabs, fresh salads, bread rolls, a fruit platter and a cheese platter on arrival, and prawns and seafood can be added for $10 per person. The BBQ with Seafood menu is $40 per person and adds chilled king prawns and garlic, lime and butter calamari. Menu items can change slightly with the seasons.

Beverages

Drinks are BYO, with ice and cups supplied, and wine and champagne glasses are on board too. There are two large eskies, two fridges and a freezer to keep everything cold. A $100 BYO fee applies to the charter.

Wharfs & Availability

Barefoot is available daily, subject to the booking calendar, and each cruise runs for 4 hours.

King Street Wharf in the CBD is the most popular place to board. Rose Bay, Woolloomooloo and Lavender Bay are also on the list, and other wharves can be arranged on special request for an extra fee. All wharves are subject to availability, and wharf fees are $50 per wharf.
