About The Lakehouse Sunshine Coast
The Lakehouse Sunshine Coast is an events-only venue on Freshwater Street at Brightwater, Mountain Creek, right on the shore of Brightwater Lake. It hosts weddings, Christmas parties, corporate functions and private celebrations, with its own chefs and a full liquor licence. Inside, the styling leans warm and modern: botanical wallpaper, banquettes made from recycled materials, elk-antler chandeliers and a stone fireplace with a rough timber mantle. A glass-walled foyer with high ceilings leads through to the main room, and sliding doors open straight onto the waterfront deck. The function room seats up to 180 guests at round or rectangular tables, takes about 200 for a conference layout and holds up to 300 for a standing cocktail party. Outside there is a covered alfresco deck, landscaped gardens and The Pavilion, which couples often use for the ceremony before moving indoors. Menus are written by the in-house kitchen around local seafood and produce, from a wedding brunch or working lunch through to canapés or a plated dinner. Every dietary need can be handled with notice, and outside caterers or self-catering are not allowed. Drinks come from the venue's own bar, with Australian and New Zealand wines and packages shaped to each event. A roaming drinks cart with its own attendant can be added so guests pick their own glass. For presentations there is a stage, lectern, microphones, Wi-Fi and a 140-inch screen and projector that pairs over Bluetooth. Music is limited to a DJ or two live musicians, the licence runs to midnight with last drinks at 11.30pm, and minimum guest numbers apply.

How many guests can The Lakehouse Sunshine Coast hold?
The room seats up to 180 at round or rectangular tables and takes around 200 in a conference set-up. For a standing cocktail event the venue holds up to 300, and a minimum guest number applies to every booking.
Can we bring our own food, drinks or caterer?
No. The venue is fully licensed and its own chefs and bar staff look after everything, with menus for daytime and evening events. Self-catering and outside caterers are not permitted.
What music is allowed?
You can book a DJ or up to two live musicians. Drums, brass and larger bands are not allowed, and the venue asks you to sign its music agreement when you book.
What time do functions finish?
The licence runs until midnight seven days a week. Last drinks are served at 11.30pm and guests need to be off site by 12.
Is there parking and wheelchair access?
There is secure underground parking for 100 cars plus street parking, and buses can drop guests at The Pavilion. The venue is all on one level, with ramps from the car park and an accessible bathroom.
