About The Chapel Montville
The Chapel Montville sits on Main Street in Montville, high in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. It is a private wedding estate built around a chapel made by hand from Helidon sandstone, red cedar and white onyx, with gardens and a view that runs out to the coast. The chapel is where ceremonies happen. Leadlight and stained glass are set into the stone walls, carved creatures hide in the cedar pews, and a glass wall at the far end frames the outlook. On a wet day the ceremony simply stays indoors. After the vows, guests move to Cupids, a glass-walled pavilion with a slate floor and a marble bar, looking back over the lawns towards the chapel. The Gallery is the reception room, with arched leadlight windows, parquetry floors, a ceiling strung with fairy lights and a dance floor. Long or round tables both work. Every package comes with exclusive use of the estate, a coordinator and an onsite team for the day. Guest numbers top out at 80 for receptions, with a 20-guest minimum for cocktail and feasting weddings and 40 for a full reception. The kitchen is fully licensed and commercial, so all catering and drinks come from the venue. Choose a cocktail reception with canapés and a mezze table, a shared family-style feast, or a three-course plated dinner, then add a house, premium or non-alcoholic drinks collection.

Reception bookings carry a contracted minimum spend that counts venue hire, package, drinks and extras, starting at $9,000 for an off-peak midweek wedding and rising to $20,000 for a peak Saturday. Ceremony-only bookings have no minimum spend. A $2,000 non-refundable booking fee secures the date and comes off the final invoice.
Food
Menus are seasonal and built around local produce, and dietary needs are catered for with notice. Your wedding cake is cut and served on platters.

Spirits can be added on consumption, and arrival cocktails, a cocktail cart, a garden drinks cart and champagne towers are available as extras.

What does venue hire cost?
Venue hire is charged on top of any package and changes with the season and the day. It starts at $3,950 for an off-peak Tuesday to Thursday and reaches $7,600 for a peak-season Saturday.
Can we bring our own drinks or caterer?
No. The venue is fully licensed and runs its own commercial kitchen, so outside alcohol and external catering are not allowed. You are welcome to bring a cake from your own baker, and the team cuts and serves it at no extra charge.
Which days are available?
Reception packages run Tuesday to Saturday, while ceremony-only bookings run Tuesday to Friday. Dates can be secured up to 18 months ahead, and private viewings are held Tuesday to Saturday by appointment.
Can our dog be part of the ceremony?
Yes. Dogs and other pets can join the ceremony and the photo session if they stay leashed and someone watches them throughout. Tell the team ahead of the day so they can plan around it.
