About Northern Grounds
Northern Grounds is a pub on David Low Way in Diddillibah, sitting on the water with timber interiors and an outdoor-camping feel. Fires burn inside and out, and the main bar pours from 24 taps. The Lodge is the main private space. It is a waterfront room with a wrap-around balcony, its own bathrooms and bar, and an allocation of outdoor deck, holding 80 to 100 seated or up to 200 cocktail-style according to the function pack. The Cabin sits at the far end of the deck and takes up to 50 standing or 25 seated, with a plug-in TV for presentations. For bigger, livelier groups, the Dining Hall and Bar together with the deck take up to 300 standing on a non-exclusive basis. Food comes from the pub kitchen. Choose three or five canapés, a grazing table built to your numbers, share platters that each feed 10 to 15 guests, or an alternate drop menu of two or three courses. Room hire for The Lodge includes a private bar, table linen, and set-up and pack-down of the room. The Lodge has a microphone and two large TVs, while the deck and Dining Hall run in-house music. Weddings are a regular part of the calendar, with ceremonies on the Lodge lawn and receptions inside. Send an enquiry to check dates and build your package.

What does room hire cost?
The function pack lists The Lodge at $500 room hire any day of the week. The smaller private room is $200 from Monday to Friday and $300 on weekends.
What food can we order for a party?

Can we hold a wedding ceremony and reception here?
Yes. Ceremonies are held on the Lodge lawn with water views and an arbour, then guests move up to the Lodge for the reception. The wedding pack lists ceremony and reception hire at $1,000, or $800 for the reception only.
