About Kari Artisan Celebrant

Kari, who calls herself the artisan celebrant, is a marriage celebrant based in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Alongside her celebrant work she has been a performer, MC, event organiser, writer and artist, and she spent years living abroad in other cultures, which shows in the multicultural and inclusive ceremonies she has led. Each ceremony starts from a blank page. Kari meets with you as often as needed, helps you work out what matters most, and suggests ways to bring in special people, readings, rituals, culture and tributes. The finished script is shared with you for input, and afterwards you keep a booklet of your vows and ceremony as a memento. Her service covers the government marriage requirements and lodgement, your marriage certificate on the day and help applying for the registered copy, a rehearsal, an outdoor PA with microphones and music inputs, a ring chest and a signing table with a white cloth, chair and handmade wooden pen. She will even pin buttonholes, tie the groomsmen's ties and carry an emergency kit of safety pins. Kari works regularly across Maleny, Montville, Flaxton, Mapleton, Kenilworth, Conondale, Palmwoods, Nambour, Woombye and Eudlo, and also travels to beaches from Caloundra and Mooloolaba to Coolum and Noosa.
