About Philippa Holness Celebrant
Philippa Holness is a civil marriage celebrant working in Noosa, along the Sunshine Coast and through the hinterland. Appointed by the Attorney-General and belonging to the national federation of civil celebrants, she has been marrying couples for more than twelve years and has hundreds of weddings behind her. She marries any two people regardless of gender. Her packages cover every size of wedding. The Red Tape package covers just the legal essentials in a simple registry-style format; there are also elopement, micro wedding and deluxe options, plus a Legal Anchor package where a friend leads the ceremony and Philippa makes it official. Her celebrant and photography packages team her with a Noosa photographer, and hair and makeup, a bouquet and buttonhole can be added. Each package includes an obligation-free chat by phone or video call, a ceremony written until you are happy with it, the ceremony on the day, all the legal documents before and on the day, the application for your official marriage certificate, a presented keepsake copy of the ceremony and a quality PA system. A vow-writing service and a letter for partner visas are available for a small extra fee. Philippa knows the region's ceremony spots well, from Noosa's foreshore groves and river cruises to hinterland estates around Montville and Maleny, surf clubs and golf courses, and can explain which public locations need a council permit. Couples marrying from elsewhere only need to give a month's notice.

How long will our ceremony run?
On the day the ceremony takes about 25 minutes or less, while Philippa puts in roughly 10 to 20 hours of writing, admin and legal work before and after it.
Can we marry here if we do not live locally?
Yes. With a passport or driver's licence, being over 18 and at least 30 days' notice to your celebrant, couples of any nationality can marry here. Philippa walks you through the documents.
Do we need a council permit for a beach ceremony?
Public spots such as beaches, parks and lookouts need a council permit, which is simple to get. Private places like restaurants, resorts and homes do not, and Philippa can point you to the right forms.
What is included in every package?
Unlimited communication, a written ceremony, the ceremony on the day, all legal documents and registration, the marriage certificate application, a keepsake ceremony copy, a PA system and public liability insurance.
