About The Taphouse at Mulberry Estate
The Taphouse sits on the Mulberry Estate property in Caversham, on the banks of the Swan River in the Swan Valley. It serves Australian pub food, Gage Roads beer on tap and estate wines, with a beer garden, river views and an 18-hole mini golf course on the grounds. For private celebrations, three function rooms are offered for exclusive hire. The Mulberry Room is a roomy space looking over the estate grounds that takes up to 200 guests. The Burgundy Room has floor-to-ceiling windows that fill it with daylight and holds up to 100. The Champagne Room is a smaller draped room seating 70, suited to anniversaries and private dinners. Hire fees are $2,000 for the Mulberry Room, $1,500 for the Burgundy Room and $1,200 for the Champagne Room. Daytime events held between 10am and 4pm from Thursday to Sunday carry no minimum spend on top of the hire fee. Every hire includes a staff member who looks after the bar for your group alone. Guests can order from the Taphouse menu on the day, or you can pre-arrange platters. Set menus and buffet packages are offered as upgrades, and outside food isn't allowed apart from a celebration cake. Birthdays and anniversaries are the main fit for the rooms. How much does room hire cost?
Hire is $1,200 for the Champagne Room, $1,500 for the Burgundy Room and $2,000 for the Mulberry Room. The fee includes a staff member dedicated to running the bar for your event.
Is there a minimum spend?
For daytime events from Thursday to Sunday, held between 10am and 4pm, there's no minimum spend, only the hire fee. This is subject to availability.
Can we bring our own food or a cake?
Outside food and drinks aren't permitted, with the exception of a celebration cake. No cakeage is charged, but you'll need to bring your own napkins, plates and cake forks.
Is the Taphouse wheelchair accessible?
Yes, wheelchairs can reach the main bar and the beer garden easily, and staff can help if needed. Dogs on a lead are also welcome in the beer garden.
