About The Marquee @ Caversham House
Caversham House is a family-owned reception and events estate on Caversham Avenue in the Swan Valley, set around a homestead built in 1835. The grounds run down to the banks of the Swan River through terraced gardens. The Marquee is the estate's main reception room, a permanent structure rather than a temporary tent. Silk drapes line the ceiling, crystal chandeliers hang overhead, and the floor is raised with a dance floor built in. It seats 50 to 250 guests for dinner or holds 70 to 350 for a cocktail event. A permanent marble bar and a lounge area are part of the room, and reverse-cycle air conditioning keeps it comfortable through summer and winter. Next door, the Colonnade Gardens lead through clipped topiary, cobblestone paths and water features to a platform at the top of a four-storey waterfall. Below them, the Hidden Gardens step down three terraces to a timber walkway and private jetty on the river, used for ceremonies and photos. Every event is fully catered by the in-house kitchen, with local Swan Valley wines on the list. Tables come as large rounds or long rectangles dressed in linen. Beyond weddings, the estate hosts business functions such as conferences, product launches, team training days, end of financial year events and Christmas functions. Corporate bookings need at least 30 guests, and WiFi and parking are included free.
