About Running With Thieves
Running With Thieves is a working brewery and distillery on Marine Terrace in South Fremantle, housed in a wool store that is around 140 years old. Copper stills, oak barrels of maturing whisky and rum, and a full bar and restaurant with an open kitchen all share the one building, a short walk from South Beach. There are four spaces to choose from. The Henry Simm Room is a small, amber-lit lounge styled on a whisky bar, taking 10 seated or 25 standing. The Private Dining and Function Room sits upstairs looking over the brewing floor and takes 60 seated or 100 standing. The Marine Tce Barrel Wall area sets high tables along a wall of ageing barrels and opens onto the verandah, with room for 64 seated or 200 standing. For large events, the whole venue can be booked exclusively on weekdays for up to 220 seated or 400 standing. Neither the Henry Simm Room nor the upstairs dining room charges a hire fee. The Barrel Wall has no minimum spend from Monday to Wednesday and a $3,000 minimum spend from Thursday to Sunday, while exclusive hire runs Monday to Thursday with a $15,000 minimum spend. Function food is served to share. Standing packages are $45 or $60 per person and a seated package is $75 per person, each for 16 guests or more, and platters start at $200. The bar pours the venue's own beers, spirits and signature cocktails. Birthdays, wedding receptions, corporate events, bucks and hens parties and product launches all appear on the venue's list. The seated package brings tempura eggplant, brisket satay with jasmine rice, a house salad and pizza. Platters of sliders, bao, satay, vegetarian bites or charcuterie can be added, and dishes are labelled for gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan guests.

Can we book the whole venue?
Yes, exclusive hire is offered from Monday to Thursday with a $15,000 minimum spend, giving you the brewery, distillery, bar, restaurant and every event space. It isn't available from Friday to Sunday.
What times can the function spaces be used?
The Henry Simm Room and the Private Dining and Function Room are available from 7am to 10pm. The Barrel Wall area runs from 11am to 10pm, and exclusive hire starts at 11am and runs late.
