About Lakers Tavern
Lakers Tavern is a suburban pub at 119 Murdoch Road in Thornlie, where a big bistro with an open fire sits alongside a pair of bars and two outdoor areas. It runs private social and corporate functions for anywhere from 10 to 150 guests. The Cafe is the main private room, with high barn-style ceilings and warm lighting. It takes 100 guests standing or 60 seated and has a TV for slideshows. The Boardroom sits off the bistro behind bi-fold doors, with its own TV and climate control, and holds 50 standing or 30 seated. The Terrace is a bright open space with floor-to-ceiling windows for 40 standing or 20 seated. Off the main bar, the raised Balcony takes 30 standing and opens to a private leafy beer garden for another 30. The public sports bar, with pool tables and screens, can also host a casual group of up to 80. Food is ordered as platters that each feed about ten guests as a snack, from chicken skewers and arancini to party pies, pizza slabs and a grazing table. Bar tabs can be set with any limit, wristbands are supplied, and there is no cakeage fee. The venue hosts birthdays, engagements, Christmas parties, work functions and wedding receptions. How does the bar tab work?
You choose the products and set a limit, and the venue supplies wristbands for your guests. The tab is opened and closed on the day with a valid credit card, and no outside drinks are allowed.
