Sydney Classic Wedding Car Hire, which also trades as Cadillac King, has been hiring out American classics since 1989. Owner Mike has built up what he describes as Australia's biggest Cadillac collection, and the business was the first in Sydney to pair classic Cadillacs with Harley-Davidson escorts for weddings. The fleet centres on 1950s Cadillacs. The best known is Mary Lou, a 1959 pink convertible, and there are also red and yellow 1959 convertibles, white and black 1959 sedans with the famous tail fins, and a 1954 convertible with a matching 1954 limousine that seats eight. A custom 1949 Mercury in lavender and a Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail escort bike round out the line-up. Because Cadillacs changed so much from one year to the next, the owner encourages couples to come and inspect the cars before choosing. Weddings make up most of the bookings, from a single pink convertible for the bride to four matching Cadillacs for a large bridal party. The cars also go out for birthday surprises, including a 1950s-themed drive-in night, milestone birthdays, picnic tours, corporate parties and promotions for brands such as Benefit Cosmetics, as well as music videos and film work. Which Cadillacs are available?

Is there a car for the bridal party?
Yes. The 1954 Cadillac limousine is an eight-seater and is often booked with the matching 1954 convertible for the couple. Several Cadillacs can also be booked together as a convoy.
Can we add a Harley-Davidson escort?
Yes. A custom Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail can ride ahead of the wedding car as an escort. The business was the first in Sydney to offer this alongside classic Cadillacs.
Are the cars only for weddings?
No. The Cadillacs are booked for birthday surprises, milestone birthdays, 1950s themed outings, corporate parties, brand promotions, music videos and film shoots.
