Paradox Sydney is a hotel on O'Connell Street at the northern end of the CBD, and the Lady Fairfax Room is its signature event space. The room's defining feature is light: tall Georgian-style windows look over Pitt Street and wash the room in daylight, which changes the feel of a lunch or afternoon event entirely. It holds up to 120 for a cocktail reception, up to 85 seated for dinner or theatre-style, 60 cabaret-style and 46 around a boardroom table. When the group is smaller, the room can be divided to create a more intimate space rather than leaving you rattling around in it. It suits private dinners and celebrations, engagement drinks, high teas and product launches alike. The kitchen caters in-house, with halal, extensive vegan and extensive gluten-free menus. A projector, screen, PA and conference-call equipment are available if the event has a formal part, and because it's a hotel, out-of-town guests can stay on site.
